I’m Virginia Mundy. I’ve always wanted a business that makes a difference in people's lives by helping make more social connections. When my own mother fell ill, she needed to move out of her home and easily keep regular contact with family, I saw another path where I could help. And so Ziipp was born. The name Ziipp came from the idea of connecting and forming a bond, like a zip to merge elements of our life together.

Previously my mother was an active lady who loved her garden, worked, lived independently and drove at 88. She had a hip replacement, then developed an infection while in hospital. My sister and I cared for our mother during that time.

One year later Mum's health never fully recovered. In the end the decision by the doctors was to put my mother in hospital care at a Retirement Village. Over the next 7 months my sister and I organised to put our mother’s house on the market.

We put a plan together to take care of our mother’s finances using online banking. Set up a Mobile Phone for our mother so we could contact her on a regular basis. Had repairs and maintenance carried out on the interior and exterior of her property.

When our mother's house was sold my brother came over from USA. The three of us focused together to sell and move all house hold items out of the house. By the time we finished our mother’s home was spotless including the garages one day before settlement. This was a great bonding time for my sister, brother and myself.

My experience is Banking, Real Estate, Property Management, Construction, Renovations, New Home Builds, and includes a 3-year Diploma in Design & Decorating.

Ziipp Home Support encourage elderly parents/family members to connect digitally using mobile devices. Provide assistance with moving parents to their retirement village. Organise repairs and maintenance on the interior or exterior and refresh their home. We will ultimately, empower our clients to live their best lives independently and feel more connected for the future.
